Having been surrounded by music throughout his early life, Adrian Lux became well-versed in a variety of genres. In his teenage years, he dedicated himself to spinning hip hop and reggae, becoming recognized as one of Stockholm, Sweden's top DJs, displaying talent well above his age. Lux moved away from his love for hip hop and reggae as his career progressed, turning his hands to producing techno and house embedded with a dance-pop sheen.
Adrian Lux hit the nail on the head with his first single, "Teenage Crime," which became a dance floor hit across Europe, as well as becoming certified Platinum in Australia. Having burst on the scene, a steady string of well-received singles followed, including his collaboration with Swedish vocalists Rebecca & Fiona on "Boy." Alongside his own productions, Lux also built a reputation for his remix abilities, taking on tracks by Britney Spears, the TRON soundtrack and Roger Sanchez, instilling his own unique vibes on the tracks.
By 2012, Adrian was ready to unleash his debut album, with the self-titled release featuring all his hits that appeared in the year prior. Top DJs around the world lent their support to Lux's release, receiving praise from the likes of Tiesto, David Guetta, Avicii, Ferry Corsten and more. Lux has also embarked on a US tour alongside Tiesto, a support slot that undoubtedly raised Lux's profile. Lux has also performed at festivals internationally, including Ultra Music Festival, Beyond Wonderland and Australia's Parklife.

My friends and I managed to get hold of some tickets to see the Swedish DJ in Birmingham this February. I don't usually enjoy DJ nights, the pushing, drink throwing, and sweating isn't really for me, but oh my goodness I didn't even notice any of this when we saw Adrian Lux. His set was absolutely incredible, and he stuck to what he's really good and passionate about, playing a full length progressive house set, and he rocked those decks all night. He played for a good couple of hours, and the atmosphere and energy were so high that no one seemed to stop dancing for the entirety of the set. The tracks were constructed flawlessly, merging from one to the next without any glitches.
The set was mainly the EDM charts, which is great because everyone was able to connect and jam along with the music. However it would've been cool if he'd thrown a few older tracks in there to mix it up a little, and everyone would have continued to dance along i'm sure! Despite that, I really can't fault the evening. The set up was great with Adrien's DJ booth on a platform off to the side with some epic lights, and even holograms adding to the performance. He's the kind of artist who could perform at a house party, or in an arena and get the crowd on his side, rooting for him.
A very talented DJ who can work the decks brilliantly live!
