For over 25 years, it has been an emblem of BC. As the largest event facility of its kind in the province, BC Place has hosted over 26 million people since opening in 1983.
It's more than just the enthusiastic football fans filling our 55,000 seats. With great size comes great versatility, allowing us to provide a home for the largest trade and consumer shows, for world-class entertainment, and for special occasions on a grand scale.
Over the years, we've hosted an incredible range of historic events, from the royal visit of Queen Elizabeth II, to sold-out Rolling Stones concerts, to the ceremonies of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
With major events already happening on over 200 days each year, we're ready to begin the next step in the evolution of BC Place.

Revealing over 7500 square metres of clear blue sky, the new retractable roof will turn BC Place into a year-round, open-air facility and a new architectural signature for our province.
This cable-supported roof is the biggest of its kind in the world, and lets us tailor the atmosphere for any event — from summer festivals in the sun, to football games under the stars, to indoor exhibitions comfortably protected from the rain. The transformation takes just 20 minutes.
Directions
Located on Pacific Blvd between Terry Fox Way and Griffiths Way. BC Place is accessible from all sides, however the Main Gate (Gate A) is located at Robson St. & Beatty Sts.

BC Place is the largest multipurpose event facility of its kind in British Columbia, featuring the largest retractable roof of its kind in the world. The retractable roof allows BC Place to host both indoor and outdoor-style events throughout the year. Please dress appropriately for a changeable environment.
