Biografia
The band formed in 2007, initially as a trio called Love the Fashion, headed up by David Jesus Torres, also known as Dahvie Vanity alongside Christoper Mongillo and Rebecca Fugate. The band soon became a serious venture and they renamed themselves as Blood on the Dance Floor, quickly hitting the studio to record their debut. “Let’s Start a Riot” appeared in 2008, with the members quickly returning to the studio for their second effort, “It’s Hard to be a Diamond in a Rhinestone World” that same year. Frustrated at being unable to perform live and tour, Mongillo and Fugate left the band, with Vanity continuing the act in the Orlando, US area.
Vanity soon built a cult following, known as the Slash Gash Terror Crew, having established the band in his hometown. Whilst touring the area, Vanity teamed up with Garrett Ecstasy to form a duo, who began recording new material in 2009. After releasing a string of EPs, “I Scream I Scream,” “OMFG Sneak Peak” and “Extended Play,” the act embarked on a nationwide tour across the US.
Ecstasy was kicked out of the band following the tour and a replacement was found in Jayy Von Monroe, who took over vocals as well as rapping duties. Their third album, “Epic,” arrived in October 2010, peaking at number five on Billboard’s dance/electronic charts. After touring in support of the release, the band quickly returned to the studio and recorded “All the Rage” (2011). Spots on the Warped Tour as well as their own headline tour helped to bolster the group’s popularity and find new fans. Two further albums, “Bad Blood” (2013) and “Bitchcraft” (2014) were since released to moderate success, continuing to find significant appeal amongst their fans.

No matter what your opinion may be on the appearance of Orlando electro pop duo Blood On The Dancefloor, there is no denying they throw themselves wholeheartedly into every single performance. Although the boys' touring schedule has taken them around the world numerous times they still appear onstage energised and ready to attack the show. The fans really appreciate this dedication and react with an equal amount of aggressive energy as they sing, dance and even mosh to the frantic electro beats.
The colourful hair, naked torsos and tattooed skin would be more suited to a glam metal performance, yet the band sits very much on the pop spectrum as they perform the shining 'Scream for My Icecream' with its dark lyrics. This theme continues and allows Dahvie Vanity to really present himself as the twisted frontman as he recites the subject matter of 'Something Grimm'. The crowd reacts well to the sinister atmosphere and by a finale of 'Don't Wanna Be Like You' complete with stage dives and massive guitar riffs, there is no denying everybody has had a brilliant night.
Do not take your children to any concert by Blood On The Dancefloor. Dahvie Vanity, real name Jesus Torres is a known pedophile with a LONG history of taking advantage of minor girls. It can be easily looked up with a quick Google Search. His lyrics are very sexual in nature and NOT suitable for teens. He is also a known scammer. He does not send fans the merch they paid for and comes up with excuses each time. He also has substance abuse issues and is a domestic abuser. Hes been banned from many tours and from many venues including Vans Warped Tour for his inappropriate behavior towards minors. Do not support this artist. Do not attend shows by this artist. Do not gve this man your money. Do not let your children near this man.
Blood on the Dance Floor was amazing. Dahvie is so amazing with his fans. Jayy is a smart ass but he is very down to earth. I spent a lot of time hanging out with Jayy smoking cigarettes and just bullshitting. You dont get that at other concerts. And Dahvie almost let me make a video for my baby sister and he told her hey n bye over the phone. Over all I had one of the best nights of my life. I can't wait to see them again.
One of the most amazing and all out performances that I've ever seen. I would die to go see them again they put a full 110% into their concerts or maybe even more and are truly dedicated to their fans. Their concerts top any of what i have seen its just so amazing and you'd just love it its more than just another concert for them or the people attending it
