Biografia
The two musicians hail from Norway's capital, Oslo, with Nico Serba being of Norwegian-Ivorian origin and VIncent Dery of Norwegian-Ghanian origin. Through looking towards their heritage and the music of Africa, they create energetic pop songs that sound decidedly fresh through their rhythmic and melodic fusions.
The duo's first success came after an appearance at Emergenza Festival in 2011, a festival for emerging artists, which gained them a first place spot. The pair then went on to release their debut mixtape, "Dreamworks: Why Not Me" using the name Envy at this time. This release had a heavier focus on hip hop influences than their later output. Their debut single, "One Song" peaked at number 19 on the Norwegian Singles Chart, coming out in June 2011.
Their debut album, "The Magic Soup and the Bittersweet Faces" was released on April 27th, 2012, building on the success of their first single and reaching number 37 on the Norwegian Albums Chart. Nico & Vinz were becoming a popular act in their home country, with their lead single also charting well, with "One Song" reaching peaking at number 19 on the Norwegian Singles Chart.
However, Nico & Vinz were not to remain just a household name in Norway, as they were soon to release a breakout hit that would garner attention around the world. Their 2013 single, "Am I Wrong", they became an international success. Singing to Warner Bros. Records in the US, they changed their name from Envy to Nico & Vinz, to avoid confusing with a similar named artist. The single reached number 2 in the Norwegian Singles Chart, as well as number 2 in the Danish and Swedish charts. But it was in America that they got their first number one single, topping the American Top 40 Charts. The follow-up release, "In Your Arms" also was successful in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
"Am I Wrong" was a real hit in America, becoming one of the most played songs of 2013, coming in the top 10 of many lists of the 'hottest songs.' This international hit garnered many accolades, with Nico & Vinz receiving the European Breakers Award (EBBA).

Kahouly Nicolay Sereba and Vincent Dery, better known by their stage name Nico & Vinz are the Norwegian duo tipped for huge success. Arriving on the scene in 2010 with a mixtape compromising of their distinctive afrobeat hip-hop, their career has been on a steady incline ever since.
It was their 2013 single 'Am I Wrong' that really thrust them into the spotlight after it charted at the top of most European charts, as well as hitting the top 5 in the US. The charismatic duo found themselves suddenly performing on larger stages and from their mannerisms, it seems they were destined to be there. They are complete naturals when it comes to hyping an audience and they bounce off each other's enthusiastic energy. They also have some real ability in their dually choreographed routines that evoke massive cheers from the crowds. With a handful of hits and a great stage performance, the band's career will continue to rise yet it is likely to be at a much quicker pace than before.
Nico & Vinz are the young Norwegian duo behind the current hit that is blowing up the charts, “Am I Wrong”. This audience are beside themselves with excitement about this double act, the song opening with the distinct slightly 80s sounding guitar laden with a chorus effect plays the introduction of this song, setting the pace for the evening. The chemistry between the two performers is fantastic with them both dancing across the stage, singing very well in tune despite their movements and swag. When they perform “Into Your Arms”, which samples Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” and the crowd goes wild. This is the kind of electric atmosphere that word won’t even get close to how memorable the experience is. They both have a fantastic vibratos and are blessed with stunning tones of voices. We’ve only really seen a few singles and one studio album from the pair, I’m curious to see what they can do with ten years.
I LOOOOOOOOOOVE NICO & VINZ!!!! MY HUSBAND TOOK ME TO SEE THEM LAST MAY OF 2015 IN CINCINNATI, OHIO AND I HAD THE BEST TIME EVER. Nico and Vinz made a great show, way over my expectations. It was all worth it the ticket. I can only recommend to go and experience them as well. They really lived into the songs and had time to introduce the songs as well.
After the show, they stayed to talk to the fans and time to take photos with fans.
I do not have anything to say yet about the concert this is due to, the show is moved to 7th Disember 2017 but i am looking forward to it. Very excited for the New Zealand Band Six60, having to see them live is a tick for from my bucket list and wish came true.
