For Disney Alumnus, Mitchel Musso, the arts run in the family, his brother Mason, being one of the front men along side Trace Cyrus in power pop outfit, Metro Station. He has come a long way since his days of being on Disney’s Hannah Montana. Tonight, Musso is to perform songs from his self-titled album. The gathering’s average age is that of a young audience with the kids at the front whilst their chaperone parents are mingling somewhere near the back of the room, at the bar perhaps. This performance of course has all of the smoke and mirrors that any Disney alumnus would have onstage. House lights down haze throughout the room, prolonged black out before Musso finds his spot on centre stage. The lights go up and the scream from this audience is deafening, the band start playing his debut single, “The In Crowd” which is a cover of a John Hampson song, unaware of where the song comes from the audience are singing along, screaming along, crying along at this superstar that they are so used to seeing on their television, in real life. Musso know’s exactly how to work the crowd, closing the show with his song “Hey”. The audience are happy and they got what they came for.
“Hats off to ya, Mitchel Musso!”
