Due to an ill timed illness, Sophie Crawford is currently unable to perform so "The Invert Folk Club" on 8th of August has been changed in event to a special Solo Performance by Patrick Wolf.
Presenting a "North Sea Song Cycle" composed especially for Margate Pride made up of
selected songs from his songwriting catalogue spanning 23 years.
For this one day only show - a dream sequence of songs set on the shore and sea,
from the cornish waters of the Atlantic of 2005's "Wind in the Wires" cyclically flowing into the North Sea bringing his last albums songs such as "Reculver" and "Foreland" home to the Isle of Thanet where they were written.
Patrick will be playing Harpsichord, Celtic Harp, Dulcitone, Viola and Dulcimer completely acoustically
in the beautiful old synagogue venue of Ark Cliftonville, with an opening set by Queer Folk group "Selkies Kiss:"
Refunds for the Invert Folk Club are available and a sparse handful of seats have become available for both the 3PM Matinee and 8PM evening show
25 percent of Ticket Sales Go Toward Margate Pride - one of the very last remaining
non corporate sponsored prides remaining.
