Biografía
It’s strange to think how little that the country of Russia seems to have contributed to mainstream popular music. After the classical greats like Stravinsky and Prokofiev, the closest we’ve come is Regina Spektor, who was born in Moscow, Russia but that hardly counts.
However, in the form of Arty we have an artist who could be the one to change all that. Stolyarov made a name for himself first when he was 19, at first collaborating with fellow DJ and remixer Misha Kitone for his early singles but then releasing his first solo E.P on the Enhanced Progressive label.
The E.P, entitled “Vanilla Sky” was enough to get him noticed by many other DJ’’s across the world, most notably English collective Above & Beyond, who signed him to their label Anjunabeats. Since then, Arty has remained an almost impossibly prolific artist. The man has produced a back catalogue of over 35 singles, not to mention countless remixes for the likes of Ferry Corstein and London Grammar.
He also balances his work as a DJ on the decks with gainful employment as a DJ on the radio, having a monthly residency on his labels show Anjunabeats worldwide. He also has his own show on Sirius XM Radio’s channel BPM titled the Together We Are Radio Show that branches out into a podcast of the same name.
This has not gone unnoticed either. One year after his debut, Arty was listed in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs feature and has been nominated for a number of International Dance Music Awards. Sitting pretty as one of the worlds most acclaimed DJs and remixers, Arty is at the top of his game and can only go up from here. What comes next is going to be pretty amazing, so let’s be there to see it shall we?

Artyom Stolyarov better known by his stage name Arty may only be 25 years old yet he has made quite an impression on the dance/electronica scene since he arrived with force and purpose in 2010 with a selection of remixes and early singles. Originally from Russia, the country is not necessarily well known for its EDM exports however Arty is becoming a consistent frequenter of the live circuit and the crowds are fast learning about his work.
He has been backed by a number of esteemed publications and this reputation has meant that numerous people gather at his often packed out festival appearances. The trippy visuals displayed on screens behind add to the club house vibes as Arty spins numerous dance mega-hits including 'Red Dawn' by The Knife and 'We Are Your Friends' by Justice. The sheer variety on offer is applaudable, and keeps the whole crowd moving no matter what their dance preference. A debut album is on the horizon which will only improve this fantastic dance music show.
Arty is the fresh-faced Russian EDM star that really has made a splash in the EDM scene. His production skills polish tracks in such a way that they light up the faces of audiences across the world, and his rig lights up huge stadiums. His music is very poppy, almost like Daft Punk on candy.
This entire audience, all ten thousand of them have their hands in the air, and are bouncing up and down relentlessly without a care in the world. Arty’s music despite being rather repetitive has some fantastic moments in that are almost that of a classical vibe or even a monumental film score kind of soundscape. He performs some of his best remixes throughout this set, including “Hey Now” by London Grammar which has this EDM hungry audience singing along, before finishing his euphoric set with a song called “Lionhearted” which features Urban Cone, originally by Porter Robinson. Arty could spin anything on those decks and this audience would go absolutely nuts for it!
Arty always brings a tremendous amount of energy to his sets. He is the King of Progressive House, right up there with the likes of DJ/Producer's like Nicky Romero, but with an even more melodic side. It is impossible not to dance during his sets and feel great. He engages with the crowd and takes the crowd on a beautiful journey the whole way through. If you have not seen him live or checked out his catalog of music, you are missing out. There are only a few artists that I give a 100% endorsement to these days and Arty is at the top!
Second time going to see his show, always great!!! Def will go again!good selection of tracks and good vibes at the club. Every body looked enjoying their selves. For being such a young artist he has all he needs to succeed as he has shown
