Biografía
Born to parents who were strongly involved in musical theatre, and seeing a production of The Secret Garden on Broadway aged six, young Battistelli envisioned spending her life performing for other people. This dream was kept alive when at 15 the singer became a member of the Floridian mainstream pop band Bella, dancing and singing to audiences on a regular basis. Soon after the group disbanded Battistelli picked up a guitar and tried her hand at writing her own songs.
In 2004 the singer-songwriter independently released her debut album “Just a Breath” followed by the four-track EP “I’m Letting Go” issued by Fervent Records exclusively for iTunes. All of these tracks later found their way on to Battistelli’s official debut album “My Paper Heart” released in July 2008 and produced by Ian Eskelin. Led by the single “I’m Letting Go” which reached No. 3 on R&R’s Christian CHR chart, the album debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes chart and remained in the Christian albums' Top 10 for four weeks. Battistelli’s subsequent single “Free to Be Me”, the result of backing her car into a lawyer’s car, earned a Grammy nomination in 2009.
After an extensive period of touring, playing solo concerts and Christian festivals, Battistelli also played with fellow Fervent Records group Big Daddy Weave and took part on the Winter Jam 2009 tour. Battistelli’s official sophomore album “Hundred More Years” was issued on March 1, 2011, which reached No. 16 on the Billboard 200, aided by the singles “This is the Stuff” and “Motion of Mercy”. An album of traditional holiday music entitled “Christmas” saw its release in 2012, followed by the singer’s third full-length album “If We’re Honest” in 2014.

Although the name Francesca Battistelli may allude to a native of Italy or perhaps Spain, Francesca actually hails from New York and is known as a Christian singer/songwriter. Her operatic voice and classical style has won her a large following across the States and a good amount of critical acclaim. She now commands a high demand for her tickets when she takes to the stage, often supported by luscious selections of musicians.
As the stage is set tonight for Battistelli to come and take her position the audience begin to applaud lightly to fit the tone of the impressive venue. She gives a slight nod of greeting to both her band and the large crowd before captivating all involved with a spell binding version of 'Revelation Song'. The applauses continue through the night as this impressive songstress offers more pitch perfect tracks all capable of making the hairs on the back of your neck stand to upright attention. She only breaks to allusion of classical performer to say her thanks to the great band stood behind and to the audience for coming out tonight. She sends them away with the pleasant tones of 'Holy Spirit' echoing around their ears.
Francesca Battistelli is just as fantastic a Christian singer and songwriter live as she is on her albums. She sings beautiful songs about God and Jesus and really lets the spirit flow through her.
She sings songs of praise that really make you feel the spirit flow through you. Being in her audience is like being witness to a heavenly moment. She sings of beauty and her audience feels the beauty of the spirit coming through her. It is a beautiful song and her performances are beautiful as well.
She projects her loud, intense voice to the crowd as they raise their hands to God and sway back and forth, reaching for God. You can see the spiritual feelings flowing through the crowd as they listen to her lyrics of beauty and the spirit. Little can compare to being in the audience of a Francesca Battistelli concert. You will feel the spirit inside you when you listen to her sing. You will feel at peace and happy in the spirit as she sings.
You need to hear her sing as soon as you can, it is a feeling that you can only get from someone who is truly singing the words of the spirit.
Absolutely the best concert that I have ever attended. She was very personable and her singing and band is unmatched. The venue was also incredible. It was easy to find good seats and the bathrooms were clean and very accommodating for a big crowd. Also once the show was over it didn’t take all night trying to leave. All in all I will definitely make plans to both attend another of her concerts and definitely be back to the Mabee Center in Tulsa, Ok
