I honestly only knew of Gotye from their weird name and of course from their popular song “Somebody I used to know” before attending their concert. After their concert I was completely hooked and totally a fan.
Their songs are so catchy and they are so talented. What really struck me was how much they interacted with their fans, I felt as if I was almost a part of the show, not just watching the show.
I really like their songs “Smoke and Mirrors” as well as “Eyes Wide Open”. I actually bought their album after this concert mainly because of those two songs. I love how the band members really fed off each other too, as well as the audience.
Unfortunately the venue was extremely hot and that took a bit away from the experience for me. Despite the heat though, Gotye put on a heck of a show. “Somebody That I Used to Know” was great, and it was fun singing it along with everyone else. What I really enjoyed though was the smiles on the singers face. He seemed to be enjoying it just as much as the audience.
Outstanding show, if you get a chance to check out Gotye, go do it! You will not regret it!
