The Plot In You

The Plot in You was originally set up as a side project by post-hardcore outfit Before Their Eyes’ former guitarist/screamer-in-chief, Landon Tewers. Since their first EP, Wife Beater, in 2010, The Plot in You has snowballed into a fully-fledged metalcore mission, with two full length albums, First Born (2011) and Could You Watch Your Children Burn (2013).
The thing with The Plot in You is their name sounds like a fragment of what could be an interesting short story if it were provided in full. This births frustration and is pertinent to all metalcore, screamo, hardcore, post-pop-punk, whathaveyou bands. A Fire Inside what? Before Their Eyes What Happened? Why did you Kill the Prom Queen? What Trail of Dead/who were they/what did they do/why did this happen?
Like all these bands, The Plot in You hammer out some heavy tunes, which establish a blood bond with their screaming, bawling, circle pit moshing fans. But they are half-hearted storytellers. Not once in their between-songs banter did they explain in greater detail the plot, nor the second-person object, which left me feeling despondent and like going home and listening to the unambiguous Bay City Rollers.

It feels rare that artists really do sound better live than the polished work they publish. Maybe it's just me, but it feels like live the other factors of crowd noise and echo and equipment often affect quality. But The Plot In You blew me away, live. Landon is so undeniably talented; I already loved his voice but hearing him do his thing in person was...near magic. He had a couple funny quips, too, my favorite being "I just noticed there are people up there[on the balcony], too. Is that where the rich people sit? Hi, rich people!" Excellent show, excellent band, definitely want to catch them live again when I get the chance.

this will be short And simple, The plot in you were so amazing. The crowd wasn't so hyped up but I sure was. I felt their songs, I felt the emotions they put into making the lyrics, I was in tears and screaming to the top of my lungs, after they played I ran off to look for them to talk to them and they just give off a great vibe, I really wished their set list was a bit longer. Other than that I would love to relive this day.

does anyone know when they’re going to tour in the united states? because i need to see them again SO fucking bad! it looks like they’re only touring in the UK, Germany, places like that! COME TO THE US ASAP please lol.

Absolutely insane! So much energy! The Plot In You played both old and new songs, probably about 12 songs in total! Allowed stage divers for a few songs! Pit was crazy! Just all around amazing show! Must see!

You guys were sick!I was against the stage and man, my thighs are bruised.The set list was amazing,and the stage diving!Best show by far. Can't wait to see you guys again.

Great venue. Had VIP tickets to meet and greet the band. Totally chill cool dudes, took time with every fan. We were not rushed in and out like cattle. Great experience.
