Lincoln Brewster is a contemporary Christian musician whose music I have loved for several years now. His music and lyrics are always inspiring and beautiful to listen to. Lincoln’s music is a fusion of worship music and contemporary rock pop. Known for his hooks, layered vocals and encompassing sound I was really excited to see Lincoln play live at the Nation Sports Center, Blain with MercyMe and Steven Curtis Chapman. The support acts were brilliant and truly got the crowd energy levels up ready for Lincoln to take the stage. When the band and Brewster began playing there was such a collective atmosphere of delight in the venue as the audience swayed, sang and danced to the music. My personal highlights were joining Brandon and the crowd to sing along to ‘There Is Power’ and ‘Real Life’. There was such joy, sadness and poignancy in the music which translated to every individual in the audience. I didn’t want the evening to end. The songs ‘Another Hallelujah’, ‘Made New’, ‘Let The Praises Ring’, ‘Everyday’ and ‘More Than Amazing’ were also brilliant to hear live. The band, including Peter Burton (bass), Mike Johns (drums) and Roman Vysochin (keyboard) must also be mentioned for their great performances. It was a fantastic evening.
