No band's name matches their genre better than No Use For a Name. Seriously, though, what a perfect band name for such a great punk rock band like No Use For a Name. I got to see them live and it was great that the stage wasn't cluttered with a bunch of things, instead just decorated with a banner displaying their name on it up behind the band.
Tony Sly was a truly amazing punk rocker and musician, and I'm sad to think that he's gone and everything went away as fast as it did. Even so, the legacy the band left was amazing, and remembering their live performances is a great way to keep Tony's memory alive.
Jamming out on the guitar and drums, singing such great songs as "I Want To Be Wrong" and "On The Outside," this punk band was really all about encapsulating the punk lifestyle and genre into one solid, hell of a performance.
For a band to listen to to rocket me back to my years as a misunderstood teenager, No Use For A Name is just the pill the doctor ordered, and when I listen to tracks like "Fire" I'm brought back to the memories of their incredible, wild closer the night I saw them live. What a truly wonderful experience provided by such a crazy good band.
