He engages well with fans, stopping for introductions to songs that give a special context to their lyrics. The crowd go wild for classic Transit songs like Long Lost Friends and Nothing Last Forever. They save plenty of time for down sing-alongs like Young New England which provide the perfect opportunity for the crowd to create a voice for themselves. As the title track from their last full length release, Young New England is reflective of the atmosphere that Transit create. They have a coming-of-age East Coast vibe that screams of the summer time, nights at the beach and long drives with your friends. Their shows are perfect for typical pop-punk stage dives and sing-alongs as the crowd clap along from front to back. Transit’s records are an impressive fusion of two ever growing genres, but to see them perform is something special. The band is just an engaged with their own songs as the audience are.

They perform a set this evening to a generally emo looking audience, with their polished “angry pop with guitars” sound, complete with singalongs, jumping up and down, the casual mosh pits and fun stage presence. They open with “Long Lost Friends” from their album “Listen & Forgive” which goes down with this audience as such an anthemic singalong, and of course that definitely sets the tone for what is going to be a very fun evening of the above. The room is filled with he feedback of an electric guitar that bounces mercilessly off the walls. Enter the riff at the start of “All Your Heart” which in the studio version features vocals from Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump. “Hang it Up” is the closing song of what has been a very epic set in general, leaving the patrons feeling that they got exactly what they paid for. Satisfaction all around.
