The Protomen are hands down one of the most original bands that I have ever come across. Their sound and their performance is that of a musical vibe, with their set beginning with a song called “Hope rides Alone”, it is absolutely bizarre, with what sounds like someone who is about to lead a protest doing a speech over the music. It’s good fun, but they are definitely a band that not many people know any thing about, when they’re in interviews the band remain in character and give absolutely nothing away. They play through songs such as “Light Up The Night” and “Hounds” which inspire the audience at this Warped Tour show to join in and sing along to the genius that is this band. “Vengeance” is an odd song for this band to end on but it somehow engages the whole crowd to get involved, moshing around, crowd surfing and singing along. I’ll give it to them, they are all pretty accomplished musicians, if a little bit sloppy at times but I’d probably be the same if I was in full make up with a stupid mask on.
Diarrhea Planet, being one of, if not my favorite rock band can be summed up in one word, energy. Their show is vibrant, hard hitting, and they can shred like no other. The guys in the band are literally some of the nicest fellas that you will ever meet. Besides that, they simply know how to orchestrate awesome rock music and their live show rivals any other out there.
