The Bollock Brothers at the Prince Albert BTN
Let's start with the venue, this has to be one of the best venue in Btn, so close to the train station, it allows you to have a few drinks from the incredible multiple choices of beers and all other type of drinks. Several rooms inside the pub and a terrace outside whilst the concert room is upstairs.
3 bands were programmed for the evening. I can't remember the name of the first band, but it was good. The second band was The DeRellas. They were excellent, a mix of glam (Johnny Thunder and the Heartbreakers)/punk (Ramones) and pop with very energetic and catchy tunes.
Then came the Bollock Brothers with the mighty Jock Mc Donald on vocals with that unforgettable voice and the band playing some of the old time favourites, we had two special guests, one for Horror Movies and another for The Slow removal of Vincent Van Gogh Left Ear (Keith)... The atmosphere was electrifying, the band was on top form. Once a fan of this band a fan for ever. I love them to bits, I have to listen to them on a regular basis and to have the privilege of seeing them live is icing on the cake, and of course meeting/talking to the band. It was a party atmosphere, everybody happy, dancing, singing we were back in Colorado in 58... well more back at the marquee/ the Rainbow and all those amazing venue in the late 70's early 80's. It was a Gas, it's always an experience to witness the Bollock Brothers. They should be in our charts unlike Boy George....
Viva el Bollock Brothers
Can't wait till the next time
