Progressive Rock is one of those genres that can sometimes be described as music for musicians, if a little self-indulgent. This band were formed over twenty years ago in Los Angeles by brothers, Neal and Alan Morse, who named the band after a rather wild party where this pair of musicians had some kind of Star Trek banter leading to this peculiar title sticking to their guns.
They perform this evening to a fantastically receptive crowd who seem to be moving and dancing from even before their music starts on stage. They have a lot of music to get through this evening, with their ten studio albums under their belt. “Brief Nocturnes and Dreamless Sleep” is the album that they are still touring from before they go and work on what would be their twelfth studio album to date. Some of the most monumental songs from this evening come in the form of “Something Very Strange” and “Waiting For Me”, to which this loud and proud audience sing along to.
