Iona Fyfe and Birdvox

Aberdeenshire folksinger Iona Fyfe and acclaimed electro-folk collective Birdvox will visit a selection of English towns this September 2026 as part of Scotland Introducing; a landmark initiative from Showcase Scotland Expo designed to connect Scottish-based artists with audiences across England.

One of Scotland's foremost folk singers, Iona Fyfe showcases her passion for Scots language through traditional repertoire, translations and self-penned songs. Two-time winner of Scots Singer of the Year at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards, Iona has toured extensively in the UK, Europe, Australia and North America. A graduate of the prestigious Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Iona is a fierce advocate for the official recognition of the Scots Language leading a successful campaign to pressure Spotify into recognising Scots and adding it to its list of languages. A finalist in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2026, Iona presents a captivating yet intimate show of piano and vocals with award-winning pianist, Michael Biggins (The Canny Band, Trip)
