Celebrate the release of The Parlor's fifth full-length album with an evening of live music and special guest Rover with an evening of live music at one of the Capital Region's favorite outdoor venues.
Set against the backdrop of the Upper Beer & Pizza Garden at Indian Ladder Farms, the evening features performances by The Parlor and special guests Rover, along with wood-fired pizza, craft beer, cider, and one last stretch of late-summer sunset.
The Parlor's new album is an ambitious 20-track double LP that blends dreamy indie rock, neo-psychedelia, grunge, folk, and cinematic sound collage into what the band calls:
"A vinyl-sequenced psychological concept album disguised as a lost '90s college-radio obscurities compilation."
Across two halves—Sun By Day and Moon By Night—the record moves through jangly guitars, fuzzed-out anthems, hypnotic grooves, dreamlike textures, and moments of quiet reflection. Fans of Mazzy Star, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Modest Mouse, Nirvana, Wednesday, Pixies, Warpaint, and The Velvet Underground will feel right at home.
The evening will feature selections from the new album—including "The Sacred is the Sweetest," "Jung Christ Cobain," "HSPs Don't You Ever Get Numb," "Open Your Eyes I Love You," and more—alongside favorites from across The Parlor's catalog.
The Parlor has performed at Farm Aid alongside Neil Young, Willie Nelson, and Dave Matthews, opened for The Lumineers, and shared stages with artists including Sharon Van Etten, Deer Tick, Lucius, Phantogram, Langhorne Slim, Hop Along, Willy Mason, and The Felice Brothers.
