J.R. Richards

JR Richards is the original lead singer and songwriter for the platinum-selling band Dishwalla will preforming solo at the Listening Room. Over a career spanning more than 20 years, JR has sold millions of records, penned chart-topping hits, and performed around the world. His achievements include the US #1 hit 'Counting Blue Cars' (written by JR and performed by Dishwalla) which won the Billboard Award for Rock Song of the Year in 1996 and two ASCAP Awards for Song of the Year in 1997 and 1998. Along with his Dishwalla bandmates, he released five definitive records, including the platinum-selling "Pet Your Friends."
