Vocalist and songwriter Nishla Smith has established herself as one of the most distinctive voices in UK jazz – a natural storyteller whose music balances intimacy, imagination and emotional depth. Tonight she brings her London trio to Morocco Bound for a special spring themed show celebrating the Blossom Dearie songbook. Joined by Sam Davies (piano) and Asaph Tal (bass), Nishla will present a selection of Blossom’s best-loved jazz standards, threaded through with a few of her “darkly gorgeous” original songs (Downbeat USA).
