With this being the only British gig on this tour I had to go I certainly wasn't disappointed Thls tour was advertising her latest album Love Songs which actually was released in May 2013 I was very fortunate to see her in November last year in Paris for the first time This concert though I managed to be at the front and it was fantastic As well as songs from Love Songs like the singles Love Song and Les Espaces et Les Sentiments Vanessa also sang old favourites like Joe Le Taxi Marilyn and John Pourtant Tandem Commando Sunday Mondays Dis Lui Toi Que Je Taime Ilya Natural High and Divine Idyll Her voice was superb and the musicians as always were on top form especially Benjamin Biolay I would gladly go again Songkick were very good making sure my ticket came in plenty of time for the concert I look forward to seeing her again hopefully very soon If any of you haven't seen Vanessa Paradis live make sure you do she is well worth the ticket price
I am a huge fan of Osmo Puccino but had never had the opportunity to see him live before. Imagine my excitement when I was visiting a friend and found out he was playing a show not far from where she lived. I jumped at the chance to get tickets and dragged my friend along with me. She ended up falling in love with him as well.
He really knows how to put on an amazingly awesome show. He played on a small stage with a backing band and no real lighting. It was mainly a spotlight that stayed on him throughout the entire show. Even though the crowd was small, everyone was in to the music and was singing along and dancing. It was a great atmosphere to see a show in. It was very engaging. He took a few breaks to speak with us and it added another level to the show, it felt very personal.
He played songs such as 365 jours, Dans le desordre, arrive sur terre and Un flingue et des roses. He sounded fantastic live. I was so grateful for the opportunity to see him live, because it ws something I never thought I would get the chance to do.
