This show was crazy. I had such a good time, there weren't many people there but everyone what having a good time. You should definitely go see rico nasty if you get a chance.
“Champagne” is the first song that played by this band at Grasslands festival. They are led by, Lorely Rodriguez, who immediately grabs your attention with her sensual but bizarre vocals. She jumps from full voice to falsetto almost the whole time through out this engaging dream pop tune. It feels as though I may have entered a time warp and gone back to 1984 maybe. Her eccentric charm is similar to that of Bjork.
“Hat Trick” is another song that makes quite an impression on everyone. The room falls silent and just listens to what Rodriguez is singing. The music is fun, almost possessing a bit of a French feel, complete with a little va va voom. “Don’t Tell Me”, is another one of their big songs that lights up the room, with the audience dancing in return. I feel as though everyone is even dancing like it’s 1984. It’s a fun atmosphere in here with a hint of surrealism added to the mix, with an intriguing vibe.
