Novatone will celebrate their 4th single ‘Golden Letters’ on Friday April 27th with an acoustic show at Little Whelan’s. Fronted by Wexford based duo Mark McCorry and Ann Marie Walsh, this concert will be an acoustic evening with the duo being accompanied by Chiara Browne on keys, guitars and vocals.

The last 18 months have been a busy time for Novatone. Having performed as an acoustic duo for many years, Kilkenny natives Mark and Ann Marie set their sights on releasing 3 singles in 2025 and expanding their music through live gigs with a full band. They kicked off with their first electric Novatone gig in November 2024 to a packed room in Little Whelan’s. In February 2025 they released their debut single ‘Spotlight’ and headlined Whelan’s Upstairs. In April, they shared the main stage at Whelan’s with Sack, Mundy, Brian Branigan (A Lazarus Soul) at the Stay Human fundraiser.

In July they released their 2nd single ‘Sunny Day’ and did a mini tour with Tadhg Williams in Geoff’s Waterford, Cleere’s Kilkenny and Record Room Limerick and they supported Swords on their comeback gig in July in Anseo, Dublin.

In October their 3rd single ‘Remembrance Day’ was launched, followed by support slots at sold out gigs with Mundy at Sea Church Ballycotton in November and John Blek in Cleeres Kilkenny in February 2026.

Mark was a member of Kilkenny band Kaydee who signed to EMI Records and released an album and toured in the UK and Ireland (3 Arena, Olympia Theatre, Cork Opera House). Ann Marie is an award-winning radio presenter.
