The Builders and The Butchers

It was my first time seeing The Builders and The Butchers after a few years of greatly enjoying the albums they've released. Though I typically enjoy concerts with lots of energy in larger venues to give me the choice of close quarters versus a spot in the back of the crowd with less physical interaction, for this show, the small venue (The Sunset Tavern, Seattle, WA) was perfect! The Builders and The Butchers is a band that needs to be enjoyed in an intimate venue where you become a part of the energy and band. The concern I had for the replication of high energy from album to live concert was eliminated within a few seconds of The Builders and The Butchers starting their set; from the first song to the very end, they brought a show that elevated the room and was a tier above the studio albums we are provided. I highly, highly recommend this show to everyone!
