For the first time since 2019, Warmland are playing live in Iceland, this time at Iðnó, on Saturday October 11th.
Warmland, made up of the duo Arnar Guðjónsson and Hrafn Thoroddsen, and was formed when the two toured China with the band Bang Gang. The spark for founding Warmland came from their shared passion for pop and electronic music, and the bridge between the two. The band is known for placing strong emphasis on the visual side of their shows, creating a connection between sound and imagery.
Warmland has released the albums Unison Love (2019), which includes tracks like Overboard and the title track Unison Love, and Modular Heart (2023), as well as the EP Drops, featuring four songs released earlier this year. Songs such as Superstar Minimal, The Very End of the End and My House are examples of their more recent work, which has gained significant airplay both in Iceland and abroad. The band is now preparing the release of a brand-new album, set to arrive in the coming months.
Fans can expect a wide ranging setlist, including both previously released favourites amongst brand new material being performed live for the very first time. Arnar Gíslason and Guðni Finnsson will join the duo on stage, along with a masterful team handling sound and visuals.
