John Scofield was great, but he could had played longer than one hour. I wish that he would have brought more musicians with him. The organ player was fantastic so was the upright bass player and Drummer was on point. I think if he would add at a ribbon guitar player With him he could have played more upbeat tunes.

Scofield at Vienna's Porgy & Bess on May 2, 2019. What an unbelievably good show! It's basically a bebop set, with a few groovier bits thrown in. Scofield played his (usual) best: thoughtful, original, but never over the top. And the band is one to match him, especially Gerald Clayton on keys and Bill Stewart on drums were on fire that night. Most enjoyable concert of the year so far.

As usual, Sco' delivers a soulfully satisfying blend of Jazz, Funk & bluesy guitar in a set helped out by John Medeski, Billy Martin & Tony Sherr. Great lineuo. Yay!
