Hawkwind

Seeing Hawkwind is unlike seeing any other band.

My first experience of them was in 1988 and I left feeling like I had taken some strange trip through time back to the psychedelic underground of the late 60's.

Hawkwind are always exciting to see and don't just turn up and play the hits... you never know what you will get but they must put so much thought into how to make the show into a sonic journey, lifting you up then bringing you down before turning you upside down and then throwing you out satisfied and impressed. They really are a honest band that don't seem like they will ever stop.

Despite being older, the leader and surviving member, Dave Brock could be 20 years old because he just has a great attitude on stage. Trippy, exciting, visually wonderful and pulsing with energy... go and see them!
