I saw Hawkwind three times this year (2025, at Manchester, Bridport and the Castell Roc festival. They were at their best in some years and I thoroughly enjoyed all three gigs.
Bridport (Electric Palace) was great because it was a smaller venue, Manchester (Bridgewater Hall) was fantastic due to the acoustics an I paid for premium tickets so got a great view of the stage4 and also had someone helping me to the lounge area during the break. Castell Roc was my favorite though, partly because I got to chat to Dave, Richard and Thighpaulsandra before the gig started. Also, being in the open air in an ancient castle made it really special.
The set list varies between each gig, with most of my favorites covering the last 55 years being played during at least one of the gig's. Quite a few from their last few albums were also played.

Seeing Hawkwind is unlike seeing any other band.
My first experience of them was in 1988 and I left feeling like I had taken some strange trip through time back to the psychedelic underground of the late 60's.
Hawkwind are always exciting to see and don't just turn up and play the hits... you never know what you will get but they must put so much thought into how to make the show into a sonic journey, lifting you up then bringing you down before turning you upside down and then throwing you out satisfied and impressed. They really are a honest band that don't seem like they will ever stop.
Despite being older, the leader and surviving member, Dave Brock could be 20 years old because he just has a great attitude on stage. Trippy, exciting, visually wonderful and pulsing with energy... go and see them!
Great show, Hawkwind were on fire and the inclusion of the live orchestra added another element to the music which I loved. Arthur Brown was great too. My only complaint was that I wasn't able to find the merch stall. I wish there were clear instructions as to where the merch was being sold. I had the same issue with the King Crimson gig at the same venue just two days ago. I feel like I missed out on getting any t-shirts or records since I didn't even know if they were selling anything and only found out that they did later on.
Awesome - as good as they ever were. I thought Haz's bass playing really helped create that wall of textured sound that took me back to the hypnotic, layered music I loved way back when I was 14. It goes without saying that all the other instruments were perfect . Though I've heard it so many times, Dave Brock's rendition this time of Golden Void was moving and even spiritual . Fantastic. My only slight disappointment was that they didn't find time in the set for Motorhead, though they did a great version of The Watcher
Brilliant concert in an iconic venue. I have seen Hawkwind play is a variety of venues over the years, but never expected them to play the Albert Hall! They played a nice mix of material spanning the years (all 50 of them!!), and at least one new one. Super lightshow too. Unusually being in the circle rather than standing was, I think, the best choice on this occasion as we got a great view of the stage, band and the lightshow.
As ever, a night with Hawkwind is always full of fun and excellent music. This year it was embellished with the Mike Batt Orchestra with narration, some singing and a few costume changes by Mr Brown no less.
It all fit very well together, though not sure the audience liked the limitations of having sit down and watch and not be able to dance around.
So, as usual, an odd but enjoyable night with Hawkwind.
From start to finish this was a gig an a half.
Great light show and superb banter between the band.
I nearly didn't go because I was looking after my mother in law, I went at last minute deciding if I didn't I would regret it, regret I would've, because I loved every minute of it and I wouldn't hesitate to advise anyone who hasn't seen them... go and do it before it's too late.
A touch of the Gremlins struck poor old Hawkwind.
First a guitar amp failure as commented on by Dave Brock kept picking up taxi radio's, if anyone needs a taxi see him after the show.
Then mic failure during Hurry on Sundown.
Kept the roadies busy.
A mix of new & old classic material. Love old classics myself.
All in all an enjoyable evening.
The sage Gateshead was a good venue for Hawkwind I enjoyed the show it were amazing It would of been great if they played images as that would fit in nicely with the projections they showed also should of played back in the box.

50 years on and still rocking in space, all the old favourites and some of the new stuff from skylark. Wonderful venue and electric atmosphere. To the couple in the box next to me - listen to the music instead of talking or get a room.
