Performing in her family band from a young age before having a two-year gig performing at a Missouri nightclub at the age of 16, Sara Evans has been singing for most of her life. In 1991, she moved to Nashville to try a career as a country music artist, impressing Nashville artist Harlan Howard with her demo, leading to a contract with RCA Records, where she has remained throughout her career.
With her debut album, “Three Chords and the Truth” (1997) she received limited success initially. Although through her second album and title track, ”No Place That Far” (1998) she had created a hit, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The success of this single eventually led to the album gaining Gold certification. Sara Evans garnered critical acclaim for her neo-traditional sound, moving away from the country pop that dominated country radio’s airwaves.
It was with her third album, “Born to Fly,” that Evans was to break through to mainstream success, with the title track becoming a number one hit. She gained two further top ten chart positions with the singles “I Could Not Ask For More” and “I Keep looking,” with the album going on to being certified Double Platinum. Her fourth, “Restless,” released in 2003, continued this success, featuring her third number one single, “Suds in the Bucket.”
Evans has become a household name and veteran of the country music scene. In her esteemed career she has received several awards and accolades. She won a Billboard Video Award for Best County Music Video, as well as awards at the BMI Country Awards in 2004, 2007 and 2008, and at the 2010 Dove Ceremony.

Missouri songstress Sara Evans has enjoyed commerciality with her own solo recordings as well as her successful co-writing career. Despite being involved in numerous aspects of the music industry, she continues to take to the road in order to delight the dedicated and devoted fanbase who got her to the comfortable position she now finds herself in.
They cheer at large volume as the lights dim and Sara's accompanying band files onto stage followed by the lady of the hour. Beginning with a rousing rendition of 'Born To Fly' the mood is set and Evans goes about showcasing her country stylings and impressive vocal range. She is a very down to earth performer as she laughs and jokes with the crowd as if they were old friends. Sara becomes more and more excitable the louder the reactions to the likes of 'A Little Bit Stronger' and 'Suds In The Bucket'. After introducing her loyal backing band one by one, they conclude the final set with 'A Real Fine Place to Start' before returning for an encore of covers. This has a jam session style and goes down fantastically well with the crowds who get involved in a final chorus wailing of 'Just Give Me A Reason' by Pink.
I just love watching Sara Evans perform live because she sounds even better live than she does when performing in the studio. She is a country singer/songwriter that loves to sing heartfelt ballads.
The show that I saw opened with the song “I Could Not Ask for More” which was beautifully done. She took the time to talk to her audience and show her appreciation for her fans. She was so grateful and humble that I fell in love with her right there. She was dressed in the cutest little pink top and jeans, very casual but beautiful and she looked wonderful. She is easy on the eyes for sure and resembles Daisy Duke just a little bit.
I love to hear her talk almost as much as I love to listen to her sing. I was so glad that I got to see her perform live because it gave me an all new appreciation for this very talented singer. Talent like hers is hard to find. Even if you don’t love country music you will have a hard time not liking this beauty. She is a natural beauty and a natural talent. I am sure she will have a long career and keep her audiences coming back again and again!

There is no doubt that Sara Evans is fantastic. Her voice is a gift from God and there is NO OTHER like her. Her voice combined with great songs is like magic. I have other singers that I like, but I love Sara. My mother's maiden name is Evans and is also from the same area, near Missouri, and when she was young, was a beauty like Sara. I am so thankful that I have seen her perform in person, and met her backstage years ago. Wouldn't you know that a young guy took my picture with her, but due to a problem with my email, when he tried to send it, I wasn't able to retrieve it.
I have grieved over not having that picture, and now it costs too much for me to get the VIP pass.
God Bless you and your family Sara Evans...You will always have a place in my heart.

Sara put on a great show. Despite having strep throat her powerhouse vocals were absolutely flawless and she performed all of her hits and a few cover tunes as well. Her performance only reinforced my opinion of her being one of the most underrated female vocalists in the history of country music.
That being said I was very disappointed in the venue which is a semi pro baseball park. Although I purchased seats in the second row behind the dugout, we were nearly 200 yards from the stage which was placed in the far end of center field.
Sara Evans gave one of the most entertaining concerts I've ever attended. Her non-stop energy level is something to see. She moved up and down the 150 foot stage at the Grand Sierra for 1-1/2 hours singing all her hits and a few pop songs as well. Her voice was exceptional and I am looking forward to her next concert in Reno.
Sara was beyond 'good'. She was amazing!! What a beautiful voice! She did an excellent job of mixing her original songs with Christmas tunes. She's a down-to-earth person with family values...no doubt! I would not hesitate to see her again! Thank you, Sara, for a very enjoyable evening in small-town Indiana. God bless! :)
Sara Evans and her band put on a great show. This was the first time I have ever hear her sing in person. What an amazing voice. The vocals with her sister Leslie were beautiful. I would highly recommend seeing her. I hope I will have the chance to see her in person again. New big fan.
I just saw her perform at the Mill Town Music Hall last night. Good show, but beware, she did NOT play “I Could Not Ask For More,” which I think is her top song. I didn’t mind the cover songs, but not at the expense of her biggest hit. Very disappointed.
Excellent performance! Sara's talent, combined with her heart-warming ability to entertain, truly gave us an emotional evening. We are amazed by her beauty and absolutely love listening to her sing! Her new album, WORDS, is definitely her best!!
