Fischer-Z and Prodigal Sons reunion at Bostheater Ommen.

"2 Meter Het Bos In" brings legendary archive images, special stories and live music together in a unique summer evening of 2 Meter Sessies.

Bostheater Ommen presents a special evening in collaboration with the well-known music program 2 Meter Sessions on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Under the title "2 Meter Het Bos In", program maker Jan Douwe Kroeske brings an evening full of legendary music fragments from the 2 Meter Sessions archive, personal stories, interviews and live performances by Prodigal Sons and Fischer-Z to the atmospheric decor of the open-air theater in Ommen.

For this special summer evening, Kroeske and his team selects the most beautiful, most moving and surprising moments from the program's extensive archive. The images are displayed on large screens, while the sound is optimally corrected in the natural ambiance of the forest.

Special part of the evening is the exclusive reunion performance of Prodigal Sons. What exactly this return will look like remains a surprise, but for many music lovers from the Eastern Netherlands, it will make a long-cherished wish come true. The band was already a guest at 2 Meter Sessies in 1993, for a session in the television program.

The main act of the evening is Fischer-Z, known for classics such as So Long, Marliese and The Worker. The British band grew into a permanent value within the European new wave and rock scene from the late seventies and has been an audience favourite for years within the history of 2 Meter Sessions. Sessions with the band were recorded both in 1989 and in 2024.

Ticket sales for this event will start on Friday, June 5 at 10:00 a.m.
