What a great gig, almost 2 hours long and filled with classics from his massive back catalogue like,Public Image,Fodderstompf and Poptones from his days with PIL,Becoming more like God,Visions of You and Everyman's an Island from his Invaders of the Heart days aswell as some new stuff and a few covers, all top class. The chat between songs was very entertaining and hilarious too which made for a great atmosphere, and we left saying we would definitely go and see him again soon
Jah and his band played this gig in a tiny pub in Portsmouth. They were absolutely on fire, a real mix of songs from his extensive back catalogue. Plenty of banter from Jah, good sound, and we all had a good laugh too.
I paid £37 for 2 tickets, I'd have happily paid twice or three times that to see him. He is one of the most unique and under-rated bass players of our time.
Utterly brilliant. Enjoyed every minute. Only wish he could have played for longer (the audience will have agreed). Not only in awe of the main man himself and his intelligent wit and charm (together with excellent bass), but hugely impressed with the other main men who helped to create a gorgeous evening. Please come back soon. We miss you already xx
Mr Wobble was brilliant as ever. best band i have seen in the last year. He was his usual chirpy self, telling jokes and having the banter with the crowd. The band played Poptones and Socialist from the metal box album, as well as the usual Invaders of the heart stuff and even threw in a few ska tunes. Most excellent.
Absolute class act. Loved every track. If you like dub, funk etc this is a must. I like a diverse range of music but this was one of the best hugs I have been to in a decade. Musically tight and beats that get you moving. Wobble is a legend. Go and watch it. He's got a great biography out too.
